Voice-to-voice translation: speak, translate, and hear it out loud
Sometimes reading a translation isn’t enough — the other person needs to hear it. SayFlick can do the whole loop in your browser: you speak, it translates, and it reads the translation aloud.
How it works
- Open SayFlick and pick your language and theirs.
- Tap Speak and say your sentence. Your browser turns your speech into text.
- SayFlick translates the text.
- Tap Listen and your phone reads the translation aloud.
What the voice sounds like
The read-aloud uses the voices already on your phone or computer, so how natural it sounds depends on your device and the language. Most phones have good voices for English, Arabic, Hindi and other widely spoken languages; for some languages the voice may sound more robotic. SayFlick doesn’t imitate your own voice.
For a real conversation
If you’re talking with someone in person, use the interpreter: each person gets half of the screen, and face-to-face mode turns the other half around so it reads the right way up for them. Hands-free mode listens for the reply automatically after each translation.
Tips
- Speak in short sentences, one idea at a time.
- Check the text before you tap Listen — a misheard word changes the translation.
- Speech recognition works best in Chrome.
