Speech to text in Urdu: what works and what to expect
Typing Urdu on a phone is slow for many people. With SayFlick you can say it instead and let your browser write it down.
How to do it
- Open SayFlick and choose Urdu as your language.
- Tap Speak and talk.
- Your words appear as Urdu text. From there you can translate, copy or send them.
Which browser
Live speech-to-text comes from your browser. Chrome on Android and on computers supports Urdu best; other browsers may not offer Urdu speech recognition at all.
For recordings
For a recording or a voice note, use the voice-note translator, which runs its own speech model on your phone. Choose Accurate for Urdu.
Fewer mistakes
- Speak in a quiet place, at a normal pace.
- Keep to Urdu in a sentence; mixing in English words can confuse it.
- Read the text before you use it.
