Use SayFlick on your phone like an app

· Getting started

You don’t need an app store to use SayFlick on your phone. It runs in the browser, and you can add it to your home screen so it opens like an app.

Install on Android

  1. Open sayflick.com in Chrome.
  2. Tap Install when SayFlick offers it, or open Chrome’s menu and choose Add to Home screen.
  3. After installing, you can share a voice note from WhatsApp straight to SayFlick with Share → SayFlick.

Install on iPhone

  1. Open sayflick.com in Safari.
  2. Tap Share, then Add to Home Screen.

iPhone web apps can’t receive shared files, so for voice notes save the file first and choose it inside SayFlick.

What to expect

  • Speaking: speech recognition depends on your browser. It works best in Chrome on Android.
  • Voice notes: the first time you use the voice-note translator it downloads a speech model (about 77 MB), so use Wi-Fi. After that it’s stored on your phone.
  • Privacy: voice notes are processed on your phone and never uploaded.
