How to understand a voice note in a language you don’t speak
Voice notes are everywhere — and if one arrives in a language you don’t speak, you’re stuck. SayFlick’s voice-note translator (in beta) turns it into text in your language.
How it works
- Open the voice-note translator.
- Choose the voice note: Choose audio file, share it from WhatsApp on Android, or record it playing.
- SayFlick writes down what was said and translates it into your language.
Languages
It recognises Urdu, Arabic, English, Chinese and Hindi. By default it detects the language automatically.
Private by design
The speech recognition runs on your phone. The voice note is never uploaded — only the written text is translated. The first time, SayFlick downloads the speech model (about 77 MB on the Fast setting), so use Wi-Fi; after that it’s stored.
Accuracy
Short, clear voice notes work best. Background noise, mixed languages and strong dialects make mistakes more likely. The Accurate model (about 250 MB) is better for Urdu and Arabic but slower. Always check names and numbers.
